Just Show Up

Just show up. I am an all or nothing person. I used to wait for inspiration or even stress to hit & be a master at procrastinating, a master at cramming. Having kids has actually helped somewhat in that area. However, habits are hard to break & I still struggle with those things from time to time. There have been really trying seasons where I have not wanted to show up, days I haven’t even wanted to wake up. Months I wasted waiting for inspiration to hit or to dress it up religiously “waiting on the Lord” to do something in desert seasons. I forgot that we have this one precious life to live that was given to us & if we are here in this time, we are “made for such a time as this.” I have the Holy Spirit living in me & if I show up, so does He. Maybe He’s just waiting to co-labor or collaborate with you & He’s waiting on you to do your part in showing up.

Whatever place you’re at, whatever season you’re in, your being there is no surprise to God.

Before we can give it our all, we just need to show up. Show up every day. Don’t wait for inspiration or stress to hit. Don’t wait for feelings to come or you can metaphorically, mentally, physically, & spiritually die waiting. You need you, the people around you need you, & if God didn’t want you, you wouldn’t be here.
