Sometimes journeys are incredibly long, hard, and frustrating with no end in sight. Sometimes the first step has to be taken in faith, and sometimes you won’t see where it will lead for many, many years, decades even for some people.
My health issues have made it to where sometimes I can do everything right, but because of hormones or autoimmune issues, my weight remains the same or I lose a pound a week trying my hardest-not eating too much or too little. The reality is, even if I were to lose one pound a week, at the end of the year, that’s 52 pounds. If it’s every 2 weeks, still 26 pounds.
Every journey, weight-loss or marriage or corporate or parenting, requires taking those small steps day after day after day. Trust is built that way, and so are journeys. Be faithful in the small things. He/she who is faithful in the small will be faithful in the big things. Shortcuts and overnight successes just mean that it’s just that much easier to get back to the place you started at.

Allow your long journey- in whatever hidden season you’re in, no matter what journey it’s on, to produce the character in you that will not only allow you to reach the top of your mountain, but to stay at the top once you get there. Persistence, faithfulness, and character are the keys to opening up the doors along your journey. Let them do their work and trust the process. #fitspiration #persistence #character #faithfulness #journey #smallsteps #trusttheprocess
